Based in our home county of Northumberland, our wedding design business flourished from inspiration from our own wedding in August 2017.

My husband David got down on one knee and before he could get back onto his feet, my imagination was already crowded with ideas of how our big day was going to be. 

This was to be the biggest day of our lives, and my big BIG ideas echoed the amplitude of excitement of marrying my best friend and soul mate.

I love flowers and sparkle and the vision of my big day was adorned with peonies and roses, embellished with sparkle and glass and enhanced with mirror and shined silver. 

I set about sourcing the products in my imagination, only to find, the grande and luxury 'I was happily ever' after, could only be obtained south of England and oversees.

That was not going to stop me! We spent endless days and nights, researching, testing samples and developing our own products, to exactly replicate our dream. I found the most perfect premium quality imitation flowers from oversees and the most unusual starburst glass charger plates, I fell in love again! 

 

I imagined a gigantic flower wall, towering my top table and a huge flower framed mirror elongating my cosy chapel aisle. My very talented handy husband and I developed both these products, and the finished display was better than i had ever ever imagined!

Flowers, flowers, everywhere!

We crafted a range of bespoke matching products, including a floral arched presentation table, a gorgeous floral mirrored table plan and fabulous cake table with floral tiered dividers. We sourced a top artificial florist to create our gigantic floral centrepieces. My dream was coming to life, finally! 

We had booked our beautiful venue for the whole weekend and the day before our wedding, me, my husband to be, my team of bridesmaids (my daughter and best friend) and our usher, decorated our chapel and ballroom with all the spectacular items we had sourced and created. 

We had so much fun and the finished displays were absolutely breath taking.  

Our big day was absolutely perfect, down to every tiny flower petal and every single sparkling accent. I had not compromised a single detail and everything surpassed my expectations.

We wanted to give other brides in our area, the opportunity to have these, and other unique products, and thats where the idea of Mellanie Gair Luxury Wedding Design all started. 

We are a family business, with the same team of close family and friends. Powered by all the heart, enthusiasm and meticulous eye for detail that went into the planning and the decoration of our own big day.

The mountains we conquered to enable us to have everything we wanted, have led us to believe, nothing is unobtainable, and with all our drive and effort, we can make mountains into mole hills and make tiny little flowers into gigantic flower walls!
